Our new book titled, Stories From the Past, is now available through Lulu.com. In a few weeks, it also will be available through Amazon, Borders, and Barnes and Noble. The price is $12.12. The book is a compilation of narrative essays, written by my seventh grade students, telling the stories of their grandparents, parents and other relatives.

These essays show the amazing diversity we have at Silver Spring International Middle School. The stories range from a guerilla war in Ecuador, to WW II and the Great Depression, to two survival stories from the Holocaust, escaping Vietnam during the war, and many more.

I've also created an E-Book version that is FREE to download as a PDF file. The purpose of this project is not to make money, but rather to share with the world the wonderful narrative essays my students have written. This book was a experiment to see if I could actually get it published. Next year, we will publish multiple books about all kinds of stuff.
